The word “Da’wah” in Arabic simply means to invite to something. When it is used in conjunction with Islam it is understoodto mean “Inviting to the Way of submission and surrender to Allah.

Da’wah in Islam is actually an order from Allah in His Holy Qur’an in a number of places. Let us consider one:

“Kuntum khairan ummatin ukhrajat linaasi tawmaruna bil maruf wa tan anna anhil munkar.”

You are the best of people raised up, for you call to all that is right and righteous and you forbid the evil, and you believe
in Allah.[Qur’an 3:110]

Voice Of Islam

Voice Of Islam (VOI) is a television show broadcast in New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Ghana and around the world via the internet for the purpose of da’wah. It is produced by the Voice of Islam Trust, a non-profit and voluntary charitable Organisation.

VOI delivers the message of Islam based on the teachings of the Qur’an and the Sunnah [practices] of the Prophet Muhammad [peace be upon him]. The show neither delivers nor promotes any political, national, ethnic, social or class perspective – its focus is purely on da’wah and deen-al-Islam [the Islamic faith/way of life].

VOI television is broadcast on Triangle TV in Auckland, CTV in Christchurch, Channel 9 Dunedin, MAITV in Fiji, METRO TV in Ghana, West Africa.
